Front Page Press

While some members of the Environmental Coalition were moving to new apartments in Blacksburg this week, there was a crisis in the Stadium Woods and members were forced to jump to action.

Photos below are from the vigil hosted Thursday night in honor of Tree 131.

Check out this front-page article from the Roanoke Times!

We will provide our press release by Monday which will explain the sequence of events this week – STAY TUNED.

Thank you to all who were in the area and came out to support a living legacy of over 400 years. The EC takes action and our members will not sit silently when there is work to be done. We did something and that’s powerful.

We only hope that one day, in this great Land-Grant University Stadium Woods forest, our children may learn about their heritage and what’s truly important.
